Capistrano de Abreu, modern discoverer

In remaking the Caminhos Antigos, which cut across the sertão (remote interior), Capistrano de Abreu weaves the Chapters of our colonial formation with the purpose of identifying those responsible for the construction of the immense colonial structure: the people, for three-hundred years castrated and re-castrated, bled and re-bled.

By following the paths of History, understood by him as being a scientific practice, Capistrano de Abreu made himself a modern discoverer of Brazil.
